DESCRIPTION
Burning Ben is a bold, smoky extrait inspired by the enigmatic antagonist from the 2018 Korean psychological thriller Burning, based on Haruki Murakamis Barn Burning. Like the character himself charming, elegant, but unnervingly mysterious this fragrance reveals itself slowly, with dark duality and provocative warmth.
It opens with a dense and intoxicating gourmand accord: cherry, plum, espresso, and dark chocolate meet hazelnut and tobacco, creating a rich, edible haze. The sweetness quickly deepens as cognac, saffron, and labdanum swirl into the mix, conjuring the scent of firelit luxury and secret indulgence.
As the story darkens, so does the fragrance. A smoky core of incense, leather, patchouli, and tar begins to smoulder beneath the surface, backed by castoreum, beeswax, and the strange, addictive whiff of burning rubber. Hay absolute and amber lend warmth, while Javanol (a sandalwood molecule) offers a dry, woody brightness that flickers like embers.
Burning Ben is equal parts charm and danger a story told in smoke, spice, and shadow. Wear it when you want to captivate... or unsettle.
